1. Circulation Services: Circulation Section manages Issue, Return, Renewal of Books
    and Issue of No Dues Certificate
  2. Reference service: Reference service is one of the major services provided by the
    University Library. It includes the professional advice and assistance provided by the
    library staff from material in the library collections or elsewhere to assistant individuals
    using the library. The library maintains a good Reference Collection. It includes valuable
    reference sources like Encyclopaedias, Back Volume of Journals, Handbooks, Multilingual
    dictionaries, Theses, Dissertations etc.
  3. Reprography Service: Photocopying & print out service of library & reference materials
    is available for Library Members.
  4. Library Orientation: The library constantly conducting the orientation program for first-
    year students. 15 departments students are being introduced with the library facility,
    resources and Swayam NPTEL courses.
  5. Current-Awareness Service: The purpose of a current-awareness service is to inform
    the users about new acquisitions and relevant information’s to the members.
  6. Plagiarism Checker: A plagiarism checker uses advanced database software to scan
    for matches between your text and existing texts. Plagiarism Checking facility – URKUND-
    Original software (supported by UGC INFLIBNET) access provided by University of
    Calicut. The students/faculty/research scholar who are in need of this application are
    supposed to be mailed to librarian ( pwclibrary@providencecollegecalicut.ac.in)
    Librarian will upload the document in the respective software, Result is been shared with
    the corresponding Email ID.

  9. Library Automation:
    1. The Library was initially automated with Book Magic, one of the leading Windows-based Library automation Software.
    2. Currently, upgraded to KOHA, (version:22.05) which is the world’s best open source library automation software.
    3. OPAC stands for Online Public Access Catalogue. The OPAC is the gateway to the library’s collection.: that is; author, title, and subject information about the materials that a library owns.
